Episode 3: Deciding to Jump In

Reading from "Deciding to Jump In" in Homeschooling for College Credit Anniversary Edition

High school, for me, was the scariest aspect of homeschooling. For the first time, I felt like someone else, someone significant, would get to evaluate my ability to run our homeschool. "College Admissions" would decide my teen's future based on whether or not I did an adequate job for the past 17 years. The worst part was that there would be no do-over if I messed up.

Jennifer Cook-DeRosa is the founder and Executive Director of Homeschooling for College Credit, Inc. a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Each year the organization helps tens of thousands of homeschooling parents resourcefully plan their high school programs to make the most of their teens' high school careers.  Homeschooling for College Credit teens typically graduate high school with 1 or more years of college already finished.  HS4CC.org
